Past editions of CII Education East
Before the 5th edition in November 2026, the summit ran four times in Kolkata — growing from a regional round table into Eastern India’s main gathering for education, skilling and industry.
2025 • 4th Edition
Roadmap to Viksit Bharat @ 2047
Held on 30–31 October 2025 in Kolkata, the 4th edition convened policymakers, school leaders, higher education institutions, skill providers, industry and EdTech innovators to co-create actionable strategies for an adaptable, inclusive and future-ready education system.
It introduced the CII Boardroom Challenge — a student case study competition on financial inclusion — alongside the CII Lights of Learning short film contest celebrating teachers.

2024 • 3rd Edition
Skilling for a changing economy
The 3rd edition brought together educators, industry leaders and government representatives in Kolkata to examine how schools, colleges and training partners in the Eastern Region can keep pace with a fast-changing skills landscape.
Sessions focused on NEP 2020 implementation, industry–academia collaboration and the role of technology in widening access to quality learning.

2023 • 2nd Edition
Building the Eastern India education agenda
The 2nd edition established CII Education East as an annual platform for the region, opening a structured conversation between institutions, industry and policymakers on the priorities for school and higher education in Eastern India.
Discussions set the direction that later editions would build on — inclusion, employability and the practical use of technology in the classroom.
